Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Bona Fide ("the App") is developed and operated by Laura González López ("we", "us", or "our"). Bona Fide is a study tool for the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam: a practice-question bank, a full-length mock exam, a readiness estimate, and an AI tutor. There are no accounts and no logins — the App is designed to work on your device, and this page explains, plainly, how data is handled by the App and this website.

2. Stored on your device

Your progress, your answers, your readiness score, your exam date and your name (if you enter one) are stored only on your phone. We do not collect them, we cannot see them, and they are never sent to us. Deleting the App deletes them.

3. The AI tutor

When you use the AI tutor (a Pro feature), the practice question and your message are sent to our server to generate the tutor's answer. They are sent anonymously — with no name and no account, kept for up to 90 days so we can check the tutor answers accurately, and then deleted. They are never used for advertising, never sold, and never linked to your identity.

4. Purchases & subscriptions

Bona Fide Pro purchases are processed by the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. We use Superwall to manage purchases and subscription-related analytics. It processes a generated app-user identifier, device and app information, approximate region derived from the IP address, and subscription and usage events. These help us provide access and understand subscription performance. We do not send Superwall your name, exam date, practice answers or tutor messages.

5. Analytics & tracking

The App uses the subscription analytics described above. We do not use advertising identifiers or track you across other apps or websites for advertising. The App requests no access to your contacts, photos, precise location or microphone.

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure visits, pages viewed, referrers, approximate location and device/browser type in aggregate. It does not use tracking cookies or build cross-site browsing profiles. Website traffic statistics are separate from your on-device study progress. Read about Vercel Web Analytics privacy.

6. Notifications

If you turn on the daily study reminder, the notification is scheduled by your own phone. We use no push servers and store no device tokens.

7. Children

Bona Fide is intended for adults preparing for a professional securities exam and is not directed at children.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date and, where required, reflected in our App Store privacy label.
